ROCHDALE & DISTRICT ARS TRADITIONAL RADIO RALLY.
What was I doing leaving the house at 08:00 on a damp Saturday morning, I am sure my long suffering wife was thinking that as well. Especially when I explained, we were driving to Rochdale from Sheffield, for a Amateur Radio Rally !
I am sure my wife views it as so much Junk and why wasn’t I selling any of mine, why did we need to look at more? let a loan buy any more !
Well, its the first time I had been to this rally, and we arrived about 10 minutes after it had opened, where was a good selection of stalls in two rooms, is was good to see a few familiar faces. Its always nice to meet up, with friends.
Well one of the important parts of a amateur radio rally me is the food !, and this rally did not disappoint, excellent Bacon Bread Cakes and good value of money too. Would have need nice to have some where to sit down and meet up with old friends, however space was at a premium.
Great to see a stall from the BATC at the rally, their magazine is by far and away the best magazine in the hobby, both for production quality and interesting items.
I must re-double efforts to get on 70cms with digital Fast Scan TV this year.
Well there was quite a bit of junk, and I did not do too much rummaging around, but still well worth going, picked up a few bargains. Even the wife purchased at couple of items !
